A Visit to Nordstrom

My shopping trip to Nordstrom was a big bust. (And not mine!)

The store’s sale items had been totally picked through by Nordstrom card holders that got early access to the sale. Boo!

I did try a few things on and of course, you get to see.

This was the purple skirt in my post. It is a knit material and it clung to every bump that it could possibly cling to. It was a no.

These jeans are Jag jeans that are pull up with no zippers or buttons and the top is a Nordstrom brand, Sejour. I did end up getting the top in the next size. It is being sent to me because it was not on the racks.  I disliked the jeans. The top kept rolling down and can see having trouble keeping them up and there wasn’t a belt  area that could have held them up on my straight hips. Boo!

I loved these jeans from Not Your Daughter’s Jeans. They fit great, for slim fit and I thought I looked really good in them (that is my top) but they were too short.

too short

I totally wanted these. I will have to see if they come a little longer.

I liked this skirt but I already have one from Talbots just like it. Remember?

Did you notice the new haircut?

I was looking for a regular above the knee basic denim skirt. Why are manufacturers not making skirts in plus sizes? How hard should finding a denim skirt be? I ended up ordering one from Macy’s.

Love the first two outfits! I'm glad you bought the aqua colored top – super cute! I really like NYDJ – I bought a pair for last summer's BlogHer but they are a big snug this year. I'm sure you can find another pair that are longer. Try Macy's! I think NYDJ has denim skirts at Macy's too!!

I love your haircut, I wish a style like that would look good on me! I actually really like the purple skirt, the whole outfit looks classy. And that aqua top is very flattering on you. Hope you like the denim skirt you ordered, they are so versatile.

Like the hair! Very pretty.Oh, I have such problems find clothes too. I am very short (or petite as we like to say!) and man, oh man, is it hard to find decent clothes in petites. Lots of times it is just little old lady type of clothing. Um, hello, there are young, short people too! I walk by the misses' sizes and they have these nice clothes, but not in my size. Ugh.

Nice haircut!I hate how pants always seems too short or too long. I bet the Not Your Daughters Jeans were comfortable. I love the look of the slim leg. I'm desperate for any pair of straight leg jeans I can find at the moment. It will probably be spring before I find them. Maybe next year! The last top with the stripes is nice as well.

I am in a paird of NYDJ right now and pretty much own 5-10 pairs of them. They are awesome fit, but run weird in the lengths. I have to wear a petite in them or else get them tailored like no other. Try Miraclebody for denim skirts and jeans as well as they are pretty awesome.
